Announcing Penny Bun Press!

Many of you have already peeked behind the curtain at the magic I've been working on since October.  While there have been a lot of bumps in the road, I'm excited to announce:

A little less than a year ago, I got excited about carving and printing woodcuts, while doing an assignment for an English class.

Inspired by one of my advisors, Barry Moser who is a famous woodcut artist, I cooked up an elaborate woodcut project for my Book Studies Concentration capstone project - BKX project (click through for time-lapse videos of printing, cutting, and folding the dos-à-dos book!)

Part of my intention with my BKX design was to be able to print individual cards from each of the month panels. And that is just what I've done!

I'm so excited and proud to announce my Etsy shop, Instagram feed, and the general opening of

Penny Bun Press!

Your home for gorgeous woodcuts, quirky cards, hand-printed art, and general awesomeness.

To see our hand-printed cards, instant-download pdf print-at-home cards, and see what's new, head to our Etsy shop:

Come on in, make yourself comfortable, stay awhile!

In the coming weeks, I will finish formatting scans of the rest of the months (July through December) and put them up in the shop.

When a delayed paper shipment arrives, I will also be listing fine art prints of some of my woodcuts, and experimenting with hot press papers for cleaner prints of the cards.

I even have a printable A2 envelope for mailing any and all of our print-at-home cards!

You don't even have to wait, you can print and mail one today!

Interested in my process?

Here's a big Thank You! To everyone who supports me, reads my posts, and peeks behind the curtain!

This print is available as a pdf download.

Yes, I'm left-handed and yes, that is a video of me doing calligraphy backward - did you catch my accidental frontwards "a"?

In the coming months I'll be working on developing my stack of in-progress books and will self-publish my first children's book by the end of the summer!

Stay tuned for sneak peeks, artist videos, and ways to help us grow!
