Back for a bit...

So many wonderful things have happened in the past two weeks and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed the by the world so I hardly know where to start!

My gums have mostly forgiven me and I can eat most foods without having to pay the price for hours (or days) after.

I had an amazingly lovely dinner with some Army ladies. It was so lovely to sit around and chat and get to know these incredible women.

I had an impromptu lunch and errands on foot with my dearest Joanna, and hopefully I didn't mess things up too badly. :hugs:

Fun times at the Mug Club Holiday Party at city steam with amazing food and great beverages.

I went dancing! Twice! MAYbe I'll make a habit out of it. :)

phew.

Now I'm off to brunch!

mmmm chewing. :D

So after most of a day of recovery after a necessary big day out, I got to cook again!!

I tried my hand at poached eggs (SO easy! and delicious!) and made a meal of them:

Poached eggs on buttered toast spread with uber-garlic pesto, venison sausage patties (thanks Jessepancake!), and tapioca with peaches (made with coconut milk so it's simple and light instead of sticky and heavy)

Oh it's so heavenly to (mostly) be able to eat like a normal person again!

I hardly know where to start!

Well my darlings, it has been ages.

Christmas, New Years, visiting with lots of family, special internet dates with Joe, lovely days with close friends, returning home, surviving wisdom teeth extraction surgery, surviving recovery from said surgery (at least thus far), sunny days, playing silly games with my brother, having two of my favorite guys in the world around for a week, the pleasure of actually being able to eat (if only with very tiny little bites of very mushy food) warm sunny naps, snuggling with my dog and so much more!

It seems as though the biggest hurdles have passed, at least for a little while. Now, I'm on the mend and looking forward!

48 days until I leave for my big trip!!! eeee! It's been fun and excited to think about and plan for making some little things to make my voyage smoother - felt luggage tags, airplane bootie-socks, sewn eyemask, etc.

look for them soon!

Thanks so much to everyone for their love, care, support, and attention. I am so lucky to have you all around me.

all my love,
m
