Thirty-five for years and June Clean Eating Challenge

"Thirty-five is a very attractive age. London society is full of women of the very highest birth who have, of their own free choice, remained thirty-five for years." Oscar Wilde, The Importance Of Being Earnest

Since my last post, a slew of things have happened.

HandsomeJoe left, and returned from a 3.5 week work trip that I alluded to in another post. However, one of the first principles of OPSEC (Operations Security) is to not go blathering on about details - particularly travel dates and locations.

While he was gone, I turned 35. We celebrated quietly, with lots of flowers, strawberries, and other good things.

Us ladies also had the great pleasure of going on a four day escapade to Rockport and Gloucester, MA (post with beach photos and reviews to come) all thanks to GrammyLynn.

The view from the cottage.

We are already scheming how we can take anther trip there when HandsomeJoe can take some time off in the fall. We are slowly getting back into the swing of things, now that he's home and there are no more work trips on the horizon.

Our May Challenge wrapped up quietly with tons and tons of reading, but very few long books finished.

I liked spending more time with paper in my hands and less with my face illuminated by a computer. We will be going screen-light for at least the rest of the summer, taking time to savor the outdoors, run through the spray of the hose, eat lettuce and kale and mustard greens because we picked them ourselves. We have a rule for food plants, you pick it, you eat it. They may not eat pungent greens at the table, but these little bunnies of mine will certainly nibble them as they pass by.

For June, HandsomeJoe and I are doing a clean eating challenge and we'll be back in July with an exciting challenge - eating local and buying direct!
