Spring Tidying - WIP Wednesday, April 20th, 2016

Creating is my passion, my sanity, my sense of being "up to something", my way of contributing a little bit. I always have a few projects going, many left to the side for months or even years before I pick up the best and carry on. Here's some of what I'm working on this week:

We spent some time Spring Cleaning (is it really cleaning if you're unpacking things and giving them space at a new home?) and organizing the garage and one of the sheds.

Using only materials and pieces we had, we started putting together a gardening corner on the wall of my bay of the garage. The peg board is from a different shed, the crossbars for the tools are extra pieces from converting the side car crib into C's big girl bed, and thanks to Joe's brilliance, we gave my cubbies yet another life. Oh it's so lovely to have a place for everything and room for more!

With a gift of some extra large cup hooks (thanks mum!), and some help (thanks Papa!) we now have our mugs conveniently located near the tea drawer (with overflow on the counter), the kettle, and the coffee making. The lovely wooden stand at the back was made by a long-time family friend.

We brought our rain barrel from our old house and finally got it set up. It's a bit ram-shackle-solid but I also brought many of my lovely collection of stones which found a home beneath the spigot.

One of my ferns has new fiddleheads! With the drastic interior climate change from our old house to our new, many of my beloved plants decided to call it quits. It's so exciting to see new growth all around.

And where would we be without a chick update? I got them all set up in their new larger brooder space in the garage. Now we've just got to figure out where we will put them next!

What are you working on? What are you excited about attempting? What are you proud to be working on? Take a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link in the comments.
