Creating is my passion, my sanity, my sense of being "up to something", my way of contributing a little bit. I always have a few projects going, many left to the side for months or even years before I pick up the best and carry on. Here's some of what I'm working on this week:

We're using up some more of the stumps from the downed trees at the side and edging another garden area. This time we're widening the driveway a little and making it easier to clear the snow in the winter.

The play house got a hinged door, and the front wall got a little panel too.

I've been informed, in no uncertain terms, that if the door is ever left open it was because the gnomes left it open. The girls would NEVER leave it that way.

My friend Spartan and his crew arrived today to start work on putting in ductless-minisplits (air-source heat pumps that do both heating and cooling.) just like we had in our old house, but better.

The old (OLD!) propane furnace had already been disconnected, tank removed, and the thermostat spot on the wall patched and painted over.

The downstairs bedroom, that is slowly being renovated for Joe and me, is going to have heat! Novel idea!

And finally, I've started a new painting. About five years ago I did a painting with lace work and loved the process. I've been looking forward to doing more ever since.

There is something sacred about doing minute, detailed artwork work that can't be done during the hours when little ones are awake. Kind of like having a glass of wine simply because I can.

What are you working on? What are you excited about attempting? What are you proud to be working on? Take a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link or a few words in the comments.
