WIP Wednesday - Harvest

-

Creating is my passion, my sanity, my sense of being "up to something", my way of contributing a little bit. I always have a few projects going, many left to the side for months or even years before I pick up the best and carry on. Here's some of what I'm working on this week:

Flower crowns (green band for a gift without its flowers)

Now that I've put up three batches of apple butter (and already given away half of each), it's time for pumpkin apple butter. Yes, it's as delicious as it sounds.

Maple cinnamon roasted pumpkin seeds and other batches of plain.

And collecting eggs. When chickens first start to lay (as pullets) their eggs are little. The above green eggs are with a tablespoon measure for size comparison.

Our girls are now laying almost full sized eggs and are laying more than we can eat. Very soon we will be offering eggs for $5 a dozen. Let me know if you're interested. We will have a few extra dozen per week. They're free range, regularly put out to roam, and fed organic feed with vegetable scraps for treats.

What are you working on? What are you excited about attempting? What are you proud to be working on? Take a picture or two and share it with the rest of us by leaving your link in the comments.

    P. S. When do I get some apple butter?
