March Decluttering Challenge - Week 4 and Final

-

I know I know, it's April.

But when you haven't cleaned up, you still have to finish the job.

unrelated but beautiful picture

We finished strong! More than doubling our goal number!

I finally tackled the bags and bins of clothing in the garage, looked at the back of the storage shelves, and the backs of the drawers.

Here's what we moved along in the final week and a half of March:

Microfiber cleaning cloths - 6
Children's clothes -103
children's toys 12
Grownup clothes - 17
Baby bedding - 3
Wood towel holders - 4
Glass storage containers - 5
Books - 2
Baby Carriers - 1
Misc Kitchen things - 4
Wine and Beer Glasses - 8

----------------------
Total number of items moved along this month: 274
Total number of dollars earned: $284.50

Final Thoughts:

While we have gotten rid of hundreds of things, it really makes clear how much farther we have to go. With each new sweep of decluttering it reveals another layer of life's debris.

We have begun to scratch the surface and make space in our life for what really matters while letting go of what no longer serves us.

"...chaff and grain together, knowing that gentle hands will take and sift it, keep what is worth keeping, and with a breath of kindness, blow the rest away.” ― George Eliot
