Sending my Best to Puerto Rico

Last month, with four days notice, we sent our Best to Puerto Rico.

This will be the longest he's been gone since C's birth.

We're getting along as well as can be expected - often better.

I have written dozens of posts in my head in the past month, about the black bear that sauntered through our yard, gleaning beechnuts (yum!), the pre-deploy-hallowee-thanksgiv-birthday day we celebrated, possibly going back to school in the spring, the meditation practice that has clicked for me, building a second story on the play house and so much more magic - like weaving baskets, dyeing silks, beautiful books, someone learning to finger-knit!! and so on.

Posting will be sporadic for the foreseeable future. We are so busy living to the fullest and parenting solo. I'll stop in here when I can, and not think twice when I can't.

If any of the above mentally-written posts is of interest, let me know in the comments.

Sending love.

  1. Thanks to Joe for being in Puerto Rico. I am sending you lots of energy and positive vibes! Single parenting is a challenge, but you have two beautiful little girls who are learning some valuable lessons from you, becasue you are such a fabulous mom. They are lucky! xoxo
